imsoclueless Senior"That's good," Tristan said with a short chuckle, running a hand through their hair. "And that- that sounds great, thank you."
-
Damien nodded as he left Tristan in the living room. He made his way to the kitchen and started throwing some food together. He wasn't sure what Tristan would like, but luckily he always had just enough time to sneak away to this place and stock occasionally. "Anything you want to eat, in particular?" He yelled from the kitchen. "If we have it, of course!"
(More about side story Lila stuffs in the next response, I promise!) -
imsoclueless Senior(gotcha :))
"I'm fine with anything, not a super picky eater," Tristan replied, giggling softly as they watched Damien walk off. They exhaled softly and hugged their legs to their chest, resting their head on their knees. God, this- this is crazy, isn't it? I- I still can barely believe what's going on- What if this is some ploy and I've just been kidnapped by some creep?! Ugh, I'm such an idiot... They groaned softly and buried their face in their knees, curling into a ball. But even so, I still trust him. For some odd reason. -
Damien started to pull random ingredients down from the shelf. He opened the refrigerator and pulled out some eggs. Nothing was better that home-made Alfredo, so why not make that. He put some flour into a bowl, then added some eggs and salt. He hasn't made this in forever. It was kind of nice for a change. Not being bombarded with the smallest things all the time made him feel better. He had to remind himself that no matter what, he couldn't get close to Tristan. He had to follow the plan. Nothing more, nothing less.

Lila shrank in the presence of the being in the mirror. She definitely did not want to be the bearer of bad news. Hell, terrible news; but here she was. "Your little pet project got away." Lila sat up straight. The words came out of her mouth curt and crisp. She knew and anticipated his response. She wasn't supirsed when the figure in front of her transformed into a hulking beast (similar to what Lila was before). "And instead of going after him, you called ME?" The beast spoke with rage. Lila did not like the fact that he was talking to her like she was a child, but she gritted her teeth. "Well maybe, just maybe....if the minions you sent to guard him...especially since the last incident weren't incompetent we wouldn't be in this situation." The beast gritted it's teeth together. "Find him." He seethed. "And if you don't, I will. You have 48 hours." -
imsoclueless SeniorTristan lifted their head, sniffing the air. They stood and followed the scent, finding themselves in the kitchen with Damien. "Smells good," they said with a small smile, leaning against the counter as they watched him cook.
-
"Well, thank you." He said, finishing with the pasta prep. He looked at Tristan for moment. "How to you feel about cheesy garlic bread? It's one of my guilty pleasures." He started to cut the pasta into the appropriate shape, and chuckled for a moment.
----------
Lila sighed as the connection of her call cut to static. She sat and stared at mirror for moment. She felt furious. First things first. She had a general idea of where Damien would be headed, and she needed to get there. She wasn't going to go alone though. She needed to recruit an old friend to help her. -
imsoclueless Senior"Mmm, literally same," Tristan said with a smile, giggling softly. They moved to sit up on top of the counter, crossing their legs. "I'm really bad at cooking, though, so I hardly ever make myself garlic bread."
-
"But garlic bread is easy to make." Damien exclaimed, and chuckled at the same time. "Here, we'll make two batches. You make one, and I make one." Damien handed Tristan half of the loaf of sandwich bread he had. The bread looked like thick-cut texas toast, and was going to be perfect for the garlic bread. Damien dropped the home-made pasta in a pot to boil, and started to work on his garlic bread. "Just remember," Damien said, looking over at Tristan while placing a garlic butter mixture on the bread. "When making food, measure from the heart."
-
imsoclueless SeniorTristan took the bread, stifling a laugh. "That was cheesy, but kind of adorable," they said, giggling softly. "But, just warning you, I'm very unlucky when it comes to making any food," they added, copying Damien's work.
-
"We'll see." Damien said, as he placed some shredded cheese on top of the bread. He placed his bread in the oven, and watched as Tristan made theirs. Damien watched the pasta that was boiling on the stove, and decided to start cooking the chicken in a pan. This was going to hopefully be one of the best meals he had in a while. "When you finish, put the bread in with mine, and we'll cook them together." He started to sautée the chicken, and added some alfredo sauce to it. Once it had cooked a little bit, he would add the noodles.
-
Tristan nodded, humming softly. Once they finished, they took the bread and placed it beside Damien's. "Do you cook often?" They asked, watching the boy for a moment.
-
"I used too." Damien said, closing the oven and turning it on. "It's something I haven't done in awhile it feels like. Or I haven't had the opportunity." Damien started to plate the chicken alfredo. A plate for him, and a plate for Tristan. "It's something I missed."
As Damien and Tristan stood in the kitchen, unbeknownst to them a storm was brewing in the horizon. Lila was on her way, with one of the atrinochs of hell itself. -
"That's nice," Tristan said with a smile, continuing to watch Damien. "I don't cook often, but whenever I do, I usually do it with my parents and little brother-" They paused and groaned softly, covering their face with their hands. "God, how am I going to explain all- all this to them..." They muttered, sighing softly.
-
"Well, you could be honest; but it's pretty hard to believe unless they were there whenever Lila turned into that thing." Damien pulled out both pans of garlic bread and sat them on the counter to cool for minute. "I can always grab a spell book from the Library of Alexandria, and I could try to work some magic that may make them understand. Although, my spell-making capabilities aren't the best." Damien gave an awkward chuckle, and placed some garlic bread on both plates. He handed one plate to Tristan then carried his plate over to the dining room table, and placed it down. He went over to a drawer and grabbed them some forks, then he sat down at the table. "We'll figure it out, I promise."
----------
While Damien was somewhere, doing God knows what to break his contract, Lila was getting some cataclysmic forces ready. Just in the time Damien had been gone, the tour set he had been at before was gone. Now, Lila was meeting with an old friend. She changes into a black dress, that had a slit up to her thigh, and some black heels. She maintained her human form as she walked down the street and muttered some words. The words she muttered were a cloaking device, and would sheild her from any unwarranted attention. Lila knew she didn't have much time, so she had to hurry. She thought of the place she had to be, and before she knew it, she was there. -
"I'd personally prefer to not have magic done on my family?" Tristan said with an awkward chuckle, following Damien into the dining room, sitting down. "I just- don't want them worrying about me, or thinking I'm up to something bad, y'know? Gotta stay in their good graces 'n stuff~"
