(it's shorter than it was, now it's like, resting on my shoulders, it's not as short as i wish it could be, but it's still great :D (i absolutely DESPISED the awkward middle length i had before >:(=)
"Gotcha, 'dad'," Karl teased, giggling as he shut the door. He rolled down the window, leaning against the car door. "I'll see you Thursday? Is that what we decided on?" -

Karl giggled, nodding. "I'll ask her when I get home," he said with a smile. "Bye, Nick~" He said, and when Nick walked off he rolled up the window, starting the car. -

Karl pulled up outside of Nick's house, checking to make sure he had the right place. He got out of his car and walked over, heading to the front door. He rang the doorbell, folding his hands in front of him as he waited for the door to open. Elodie climbed out of Karl's car after a moment, chuckling. "Eager much?" She asked, smirking at Karl. "Hush you," he said with a glance back at his friend, frowning. -
Nick quickly opened the door after a few moments, smiling as he saw Karl at the door and Elodie down the walkway. “Hey, come on in!” He said, stepping aside from the door. The faint smell of waffles and fruit came from the kitchen. “Im making waffles. I thought we could have like, a breakfast for dinner sort of thing.”

"Oh my God, does that smell good," Elodie said, walking inside with Karl following. "Good thing I'm starving." Karl chuckled, rolling his eyes at his friend. "Thanks for having us over, Nick."

Nick chuckled, moving over to the kitchen. “Yeah, of course,” His snake, Lucy, was curled up on the counter across from the waffle maker. “Oop, sorry- Karl, I know you don’t like snakes I’ll put her away,” He chuckled, gently but expertly picking her up and walking away.

"Oh my God, wait- you have a snake?!" Elodie exclaimed, her voice raising. "You are officially my new favorite person, I swear-" "Damn, what about me?" Karl replied with a chuckle, walking over to the counter with the food all set up. "Eh, you're a close second."
