imsoclueless SeniorKarl's eyes widened and he let go of his legs, turning to face Nick. "Are- Are you joking?" He asked, a confused and cautious look on his face.

Nick glanced at the couch, his face flushing red. “No- I’m not. I’m sorry.”

imsoclueless Senior"Wh- Why are you apologizing, Nick?" Karl asked, his expression softening.

Nick shrugged. “I dunno. I just feel bad, that I rejected you and you were so upset, and then I changed my mind so quickly,” He mumbled, glancing at Karl for a second.

imsoclueless Senior"No, it's- It's not your fault I'm upset, Nick," Karl spoke softly, moving over to Nick. "I- I promise, I'm just- it's hard to explain, but I'm- I'm dealing with my own s---, is all. I promise it's not your fault, though." He rested his hand on his friend's arm, gently rubbing it for a moment. "And it's not bad that you- you changed your mind, I promise. I mean, it took me ages to even somewhat figure out my sexuality, so it's okay! I promise~"

“Okay,” Nick said with a smile, blushing a little bit as he glanced at Karl’s hand on his arm. “So- what does this mean?”

imsoclueless Senior"I- I mean, I don't- I don't know," Karl mumbled, pulling his hand back. "I- I like you, I really do, but- I mean, I wouldn't- I wouldn't want t-to force you into s-something you're not- you're not ready for..."

“I mean,” Nick paused, frowning as Karl pulled his hand away. “I wouldn’t say I’m… not ready?” He said with a small grin, glancing up at the brunette.

imsoclueless Senior"You- You want to date me?" Karl asked, his face turning red. His breathing quickened and he brought his hands to his chest, clutching his hoodie in his hands. No, don't- don't get your hopes up- you can't, not after everything you've been through!

“Um, yeah,” Nick said like it was obvious, giggling softly as his face flushed red. “I was thinking- I wouldn’t mind dating a guy as long as it was you.” He said softly, making eye contact with Karl.

“Do you… not want to anymore?” Nick asked quietly, frowning a little. “It’s okay if you changed your mind-“

imsoclueless Senior"No! No, I- f---..." Karl sighed, falling back against the couch and covering his hands with his face. "I don't want to get hurt anymore," he mumbled, exhaling shakily. "I- I love you, I really do, but-" He groaned, curling up into a ball again.

Nick frowned. “Oh, okay. That’s sensible Karl, I understand,” He said softly, studying him.

"I- I really do love you, Nick- And I want to date you, but- I've been hurt, so many times, and-" He sighed, rubbing his face with his hands. "I'm sorry, we- we can just forget this whole thing and the whole- the whole confession never happened, if- if that's what you'd prefer..."
