Jacob threw a broom at the bat. It screeched and returned to its place behind the board. He snorted. ‘Not all of us need to be rich, Velvette, I’m sure you’ll manage.’
Xavier whacked him over the head with his dustpan. ‘Be nice!’ he said. ‘Not cool, dude.’
Jacob scoffed. ‘What’s not cool is this basement and the fact we’re only getting 10 bucks.’
‘I claim the extra 40 cents,’ Xavier stated. -
"Yeah, just take the extra money. It's not that much anyway." Spencer sighed, grabbing some bug-killer spray and spritzing it over a small hole in the wall.

He grabs a stick-like thing and pokes some cobwebs with it. "Why's it gotta be spiders.... " He continues to get rid of cobwebs with it.

Corey shivered. "Ugh" as a large spider scuttled across the ceiling trying to get away from the antibacterial spray they were holding. "1 dollar and 60 cents isn't going to get us anywhere, we can't even afford anything from the two dollar shop!"

‘A stick of Mentos, maybe,’ Xavier suggested, turning over the clown painting. He grimaced then turned it around so it faced the wall. ‘You know what you did, creepy clown dude.’
‘We could get, like, point-zero-zero-5 gibibytes of data with a dollar,’ Jacob said.
‘What’s anybody doing with that much?’ -
Velvette, now attempting to get as far away as possible from the spiders, was backed in a corner, left to deal with a shelf of dusty books. She quickly dusted them, then she caught a glimpse of the cover… It said Ghost Hunter Millionaires
“Hey! Guys! Look what I found!” She waved the book above her head. -
He looks over for a second before, "aaaAAA!!" He wafts his hand about due to a spider climbing on it.

"Ghost hunters, ghost hunters..." Spencer repeated, looking at the book's title.
"Pretty weird. No one's gonna profit off of THAT kind of job, let alone become a millionaire." Spencer objected, grabbing a Clorox wipe and cleaning the table with it. -
Xavier took the book and skimmed the cover.
'Now who's being rude,' Jacob grumbled.
Xavier either ignored his friend or didn't hear as he opened the book and flipped through. 'Hey, we should become ghost hunters!' -
"Don't be ridiculous Xavier, who's going to pay us to hunt for ghosts let alone believe us if we actually manage to find one!" Corey exclaimed while shrinking away from yet another spider that had managed to escape the terrors of the anti-bug spray.

"Exactly. Ghosts aren't even real anyways," Spencer nodded in agreement with Corey, sighing. He grabbed some disinfectant spray and sprayed it everywhere around the area. Clearly, the bug spray had failed to kill any creepy crawlies at all, so he figured he would just move on.

He calms down slightly and looks over at Corey, "who says they aren't?"

Xavier pointed at Gojiko. ‘Yes! What he said!’ he said enthusiastically. ‘Of course ghosts are real! How do you explain all that footage of them on the internet?’
Jacob raised an eyebrow. ‘Software editing, CGI…’
‘Shut up, Jacob.’ -

"No, Jacob's kind of right." Spencer protested weakly, organizing his cleaning supply.
"After all, the book's images could have been Photoshopped and the content of the book, well, written using AI."
