The crow shifter entered the tavern. A black cloak she wore flowed down to just above the ground, and cast a shadow over her face. A red cloth was tied around her head, over her mouth and nose like a mask. Jane Doe looked down at the letter in her hand, making sure she was in the right place before she spotted two men sitting in the corner, one with a symbol of the Golden King on his chest. She frowned and walked over, stood behind a man with twisted antlers atop his head. She said nothing.
-
Calypso, being pretty much human, didn’t need that much of a disguise. She just wore her regular clothes and slipped her letter in the leather satchel that she had brought.Perfect.All of the tavern guests just thought that she was a normal person, with no rebellious intentions, and not plotting to overthrow the golden king. She saw three people in a corner and decided to go towards them because they seemed like the people who would plot to take revenge on the golden king.
-
Gillywood slinked in, unnoticed. He was wearing a ragged coat, showing his shark heritage by having his tail uncovered. He looks around the room, confused and suddenly spots the man wearing the Golden King's sigil. Walking over he knocks a few things over with his tail. Sitting next to the human, he slumped over and sighed, waiting for someone to say something.
-
It was not until two or three minutes later when Adonis would soon walk into the tavern. His sapphire-blue eyes were tinged with a pinkish-red tint, which made him look as though he hadn't slept for seven days in front of the others. He rubbed his eyes, and noticed several more people standing before him. Adonis was about to say something, but he refrained from doing so as he was still trying to recognize the others.
-
Soon after, a human with burn marks on her face entered. She saw a shark like person she slowly walked towards them. “So do we just stand here or should I start a conversation?” Amelia asked.
-
Abysal let his lips curl into a smirk, scanning over the group that had gathered. "Perhaps." He said simply, before reaching out and dragging a clawed finger across the wood of the table, carving a single, harsh looking glyph into its surface, which hurt to look at. "Soth" hesaid, his eyes briefly glowing before the sounds of the tavern around them became muffled.
"What is it that you hope to accomplish by fighting the Golden King." Abysal asked, sitting up and looking each person in the eye, the shadows nearest to him seeming to move in the shape of wings -
" Simple. I want to go home." The tired fae before him draws, glancing at his own claws in contemplating elbows rested on the table. " My heart aches for my forest, and to finally put my people to rest. I can't do that until the b------s head is cleaved from his neck." Taliesin declares firmly, hand cracking the wood of the table.
-
Jane Doe looked down at her hands, her eyes squinting into a frown. She looked back up at the stranger, clenching her jaw.
'I don't know who I am,' she said in a quiet voice, which was slightly muffled from the red cloth around her head. 'The f---er took that simple knowledge from me. I lost everything.' -
Adonis sighed, glancing at Abysal for a few seconds, then turned his gaze down to face the ground beneath him. He glowered.
"That jerk... That thoughtless, cruel f---ing jerk stole away my family and took away one of my powers. I never saw or had either of them to support me, back. And, I want my revenge." -
Calypso’s eyes gleamed with all of her anger and pent-up fury and determination to kill the Golden King.
“I want to avenge my fiance,” she said, tears glimmering in her eyes.”That sick mother f——- killed my Sebastian in a single bet like he didn’t matter.” -
Gillywood sat up. His eyes slit, he managed to say through gritted teeth, "he killed my family." He hissed slightly and slumped back onto the chair/stool.
-
“He would have also… if I had one. Instead he trying to burn me TWICE that motherf****ing b****”.
-
Abysal's smirk grew wider at their responses, seeming pleased. "Good. Now, I can't promise that all of you will live through this endeavor. We are going to be fighting the most powerful pirate on the seas after all, and his entire fleet with him. So death is a very likely thing that you should all be aware of." He said calmly, before moving to stand, swiping a claw through the glyph he had carved to break it.
"But if that is something you are alright with, follow me to My ship and we will get started." He said with a chuckle, and then began to make his way out of the tavern, his tail swaying behind him -
Calypso quickly stood up and followed him.
“I’ll be fine.” she said.”I’m pretty agile and I can parry quite quickly and easily,so I think I can take on the Golden King for about 2 minutes on my own. Also I have ghost mode, which I can use to make an escape by going through a wall.” She boarded the ship and headed for the kitchens, taking her satchel with her, which held the letter, her trusty dagger and set of throwing knives, and a whole lot of food.
