'Oh god.' Orion rubbed his face with his hands. 'Ugh, I should've walked her home or something!'
Mahina grabbed Ernest's hand tightly. -
Ernie sighed, looking at the ground. "Or maybe I'm just wrong, and she got lost. We don't know for sure either way." He held Mahina's hand tightly.

'Where should we check?'

"Maybe we should scatter a bit. Orion can take one side of the forest, and me and you can take the other side, and search the close perimeter of the trail."

‘Alright,’ Mahina nodded.
‘Ugh, of course I’ll have to go alone,’ Orion grumbled -
"You're old, you can fight anyone who's a problem. You'll be fine."

Orion rolled his eyes, walking off.

Ernest looked at the other side of the trail, squeezing Mahina's hand. "C'mon, lets go."

Mahina nodded, giving a weak smile.

Ernest smiled back nervously before stepping off the trail.

Mahina followed him.

Ernie looked around, head turning every time a leaf rustled. "Sorry for being so jumpy. I'm just on edge I suppose."

‘Me too, honestly. It’s okay,’ Mahina said, looking down at the ground.

Ernest shrugged, looking around. "I hope she's here."
