'She wears short boots with a small heel,' Mahina said, careful not to step inside the foot prints. 'I swear to god, if Callisto took her..'

"Why would Callisto even...." Ernest answered the question for himself in his head. "Dumb question, never mind." He looked at one of the shoe prints. He thought it looked similar to the description before looking up at Mahina. "Am I jumping to conclusions, or does that look similar?"

Mahina followed his gaze. 'I don't even know. Let's just follow them until we get somewhere.'

Ernest nodded. "Alright, lets go." He stood up fully and started following the path, careful not to walk over it.

Mahina followed him, holding his hand, tightly.

Ernie tried to relax her while also staying on guard as he looked at the tracks. After a while they grew fainter and fainter before completely disappearing. He stood there for a bit. "Go get Orion to see if he's found anything, and then see if he can find out why the trails are so faint right here."

'Okay,' Mahina said, looking at him. 'What are you gonna do?'

"Wait here so if you can't find this spot, we won't lose it."

'Alright,' Mahina said. She kissed his cheek before walking off.

Ernest watched her leave before sitting down, careful not to mess up the tracks.

Mahina walked off to find Orion. 'Orion?' she asked, looking around. She hoped he hadn't gone too far.

Orion was looking around before hearing Mahina. "Coming!" He yelled, running up to her. "What is it? Where's Ernest?"

'We found some footprints. He's staying there so we don't lose it.'

"Well lets go!" Orion said urgently.

Mahina speedwalked back towards where Ernest was standing.
