“I’m really sorry.” Ernest said quietly, even though it wasn’t his fault Selene got frozen.

Mahina shook her head. ‘It’s not your fault.’

“I’m still sorry.”

Ernest shrugged. “Do you think turning her into a frog would unfreeze her?” He asked. He knew the answer was probably no, but he wanted to make her crack a smile.

Mahina chuckled. ‘I doubt it.’

Ernest shrugged, chuckling.

Mahina turned back to her book.

Ernie left her alone.

Mahina leaned a little into him.

Ernest blushed lightly.

Mahina smiled weakly.

Ernie looked at her, giving a hint of a smile.
