Ernest ruffled her hair gently.

Mahina chuckled. Selene, with much difficulty, stood up straight.

Ernie noticed. “You alright?”

‘I’m fine. So, I really was frozen? What about Henrik?’

Ernest looked at Hernrik, who was frozen as well. “I reckon the same thing happened to him.”

Selene followed his gaze. ‘Oh, good.’

Ernie gave a small chuckle. “Yeah.”

Mahina smiled.

“Do you want to go back to the house now that they’re frozen?” Ernest paused. “How long exactly, will they be frozen?”

‘That’s the thing. I don’t know,’ Selene said. ‘But it’s probably safe to now.’

Ernie gave a small nod. “Alrighty.”
