“She-well-… Let’s just wait a bit, alright?” Ernest said weakly. “Maybe she’ll be better in a minute or two.”

Mahina buried her face back into Selene’s shoulder.

Ernie sighed, but not an annoyed one. A sad one.

They stayed like that a few minutes.

Ernest sat down on the dirt, dejected.
(Gtg for a bit) -

Mahina continued crying into her shoulder. -
Ernie thought. “Is there any spell that can unfreeze her?”

‘I-I don’t know…’

“Alright.” Ernest looked up at Selene ad then Mahina.

Mahina sighed. She let go of Selene and sat next to Ernest. ‘How could he do something like this?’

“I don’t know.” Ernest wrapped an arm around her to try and comfort her.

Mahina buried her face in her hands, leaning against him.

Ernie tried to think. “Do you want me to grab the spell book? To see if there’s anything we can do?”

‘Yeah, that’s probably a good idea…’

Ernest gave a small nod. “Alright.” He pulled away from her to stand up.
