Ernie stayed close to her. "It's ok, I'm right here."

Mahina shuffled closer to him.

Ernest let her, frowning slightly.

Mahina made another whimpering sound, covering her face with her hands.

Ernie frowned more, grabbing one of her hands gently.

Mahina let him.

"It'll be alright." He said quietly.

Mahina whimpered.

Ernest squeezed her hand. "Hey, no nightmares allowed." He said gently.

Mahina obviously didn’t hear him.

Ernie knew she wouldn't, but didn't care. -

Mahina whimpered again. -
Ernest frowned, squeezing her hand again.

Tears ran down her cheeks. -

Ernie noticed. That was enough for him. He shook her shoulder gently. "Alright, time to wake up." He said softly, not wanting her to keep suffering through whatever nightmare she was having.
