‘Ugh, fine,’ Mahina said. ‘But I doubt there are any weeds from when I last weeded it.’

"Then you'll get to the village faster." Selene shrugged.

Mahina huffed and walked outside.

Selene chuckled, turning to clean the cupboards.

Mahina looked at the garden. A bunch of new weeds had sprouted up. ‘Oh, come on!’

Selene heard her complain, and laughed.
Ernie meanwhile, was just chilling on that bench. He was reading one of his books. -
Mahina spent 10 minutes weeding a quarter of the garden. Her wheelbarrow was half full.

Selene looked outside occasionally to watch her work, still mildly worried about her.

Mahina fell on her back trying to pull out a weed. ‘Agh!’ she shouted.

Selene saw, stepping outside. "You alright?"

‘Yep,’ Mahina said. ‘All good here.’

Selene nodded, looking over at the half full wheelbarrow. "Once that gets filled, you can take a break and go over to the village, as long as you're back by noon to finish. Deal?"

Mahina nodded immediately. ‘Yes!’

Selene chuckled. "Sounds good." She walked inside again.

As Mahina sat up, she noticed a shadow behind her. She turned around. Standing there was a man and a woman. The woman had pale blue hair, like Mahina did in her true form.
‘Who the heck are you?’ Mahina asked, standing up.
