Selene rolled her eyes.

‘I mean, you’re not arguing.’

"It's not that boring. Would you rather clean the cupboards?"

‘No.’

"Exactly." Selene chuckled.

Mahina huffed.

"How about this: If you finish, I'll let you go to the village. Just... No magic. At all."

Mahina’s face lit up. ‘Deal!’

Selene laughed, opening the cupboards to clean them.

Mahina grinned. ‘What do I need to do in the garden?’

"Pull out the weeds. I can grab you some gloves if you need them."

Mahina huffed. ‘With my hands?’ she complained.

"Well yeah. You're too worn down to use magic, and besides, what if a human sees?"
