Mahina didn’t wake until the morning.

Ernie woke up in early morning, opening his eyes. He was still holding Mahina's hand.

Mahina stirred awake.

"Morning, Purple." Ernest smiled.

Mahina looked at him. It took her mind a few seconds to register where she was. She blushed.

Ernie squeezed her hand, smiling.

Mahina smiled. ‘Did I, er, fall asleep?’

"Yeah." Ernest chuckled.

‘In bed, or…’

"No, in the kitchen." Ernie smiled. "You were really tired."

Mahina blushed. ‘That’s embarrassing.’

Ernest shrugged. "Eh, I've seen more embarrassing."

‘Like? I need examples.’

"One time there was this big little kid party in the fields, and they were playing tag, and one of the kids was so tired he was practically sleepwalking. He tripped over like, 6 kids."

Mahina smiled in amusement. ‘Who was that kid?’
