It looked pretty late to Ernest. He debated leaving her there for a bit longer or trying to carry her to her bed and risk waking her up.

Mahina stirred slightly, but didn’t wake.

Ernie waited a bit longer before deciding to just take her to her bed. He picked her up VERY CAREFULLY and carried her to her bed.

Mahina stirred again, but she didn’t wake.

Ernest set her down on her bed, and pulled the covers over her.

Mahina reached for his hand.

Ernie was about to leave her alone, but froze when she reached for his hand. He let her grab it.

Mahina started snoring again.

Ernest didn't want to leave her, so he just sat on the edge of the bed, not caring that it was getting late.

Mahina held onto his hand with both of hers.

Ernie sat next to her, pulling her blanket up a bit more so she wouldn't be cold.

Mahina didn’t do anything for a while, I mean, she was sleeping.

Ernie grew tired eventually, but still didn't want to leave her side. He eventually moved her slightly to the side so he could sleep next to her, still leaving her a bit of room. -
(Lmfao like what did he expect)
Mahina didn’t wake up. -
Ernest closed his eyes and fell into a very light sleep.
