Chester sighed softly, eating his breakfast. ‘If it is bad, the side effects, is there a way to neutralise them? Like some kind of drug or therapy or something?’
-
"I can certainly try. I'll research it after breakfast."
-
Chester nodded, playing with his food with his fork. He didn’t feel hungry anymore. ‘Thank you, Oliver. I’m sorry for dumping this all on you.’
-
"It's fine." Oliver brushed it off.
Jayden wrapped an arm around Chester gently, leaning into him. -
Chester smiled weakly, leaning into Jayden. He finished half of his breakfast, before leaning back in his chair, sighing softly.
(Idk what to write anymore lol. Have any ideas?’ -
(Hmmmmm)
Jayden looked up at Chester, still extremely worried. He looked at Oliver after a bit. "Am I allowed to sit by him while the surgery's happening?"
Oliver seemed mildly puzzled by that. "Instead of getting sleep?"
Jayd nodded. "Can I? Is that ok?" -
(Hmm indeed)
Oliver thought for a moment before sighing. ‘Sure, if you really want to,’ he said. ‘It.. it won’t be a pretty sight, though.’ -
Jayd grimaced, but nodded. He looked at Chester. "Is that alright with you?"
-
Chester nodded, smiling weakly. ‘Of course.’
-
Jayden noticed how weak the smile was. "You alright?"
-
Chester nodded. ‘Of course,’ he said quietly, forcing a bigger smile. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to go through with fixing his shifts, he just didn’t want to scare Jayden in the process. And hallucinations, sleep paralysis and schizophrenic nightmares obviously wasn’t appealing.
-
Jayd sighed. "I don't believe you." He murmured.
-
Chester looked at his hands, sighing softly, then stood up. ‘I’m going to go on a walk,’ he said, kissing the top of Jayden’s head. ‘I’ll be in the gardens if you need me, okay?’
-
Jayden frowned. "Fine by me, bye." He mumbled, looking up at his boyfriend, and then, once he left, stared down at his shoelaces.
-
Chester walked into the gardens, breathing in the fresh air. He sighed, wondering if that night would be the last night he slept peacefully. He stuck his hands in his pockets, walking on the dirt path.
Oliver stood up. ‘I should go too, to prepare the surgery. It’ll be ready by about 8pm. Don’t let him eat anything, say, 5 or 6 hours before.’
