'Because... well..' Chester tried to think of a good reason. 'Kids are strange. They'll probably do it anyway. By doing this we can be sure of no conflict between our kingdoms and that we'll be allies in a occasion of a war.'

"Oh. Cool." Jayden said with a smile. "What happens if we don't have kids? Do our kingdoms just die, or do they find another ruler with as much craziness as us?"

'Whoever's second in line to the throne would. Perhaps your uncle or a cousin or even a distant relative,' Chester said. He was beginning to see why they called this man strange. He hadn't even bothered to learn the most basic stuff about royalty.

Jayd smiled again. "Thanks. You're better at this stuff than I am." He said, dropping his maniac act for a bit.

Chester raised an eyebrow. 'I wonder why,' he said sarcastically.

"Hey, be nice! I didn't exactly think I'd live long enough to become king, so I never paid attention to it!"

'What do you mean?'

"Well I'm always doing dumb stuff that ought to get me killed." He mumbled, deciding to go with a somewhat truth. It wasn't a LIE exactly, just... Not the full explanation.

'Right,' Chester said, nodding slowly. He didn't entirely believe that was the entire explanation, but felt it was not his place to pry. He walked out the library and down the halls.

Jayd followed, purposely bumping into Chester's shoulder constantly as he walked.

Chester narrowed his eyes at Jayden, though said nothing.

Jayden gave a smug smile like a little kid would do when they knew they did something wrong but didn't get in trouble for it, still running into Chester's shoulder.

'What are you doing?' Chester asked.

"Bumping into your shoulder." Jayd said, grinning. Most people got annoyed within the second time he bumped into them, so he was quite pleased with the fact that he'd gotten away with it for so long.

'Why?' Chester asked, feeling like some trick was being played on him.
