Jayden yanked him a bit harder than he intended, winding up super close to Chester. "My bad!" He said, stepping back instinctively. "That's not quite what I was planning."

Chester blinked. 'Uh, yeah, all good,' he said, stepping backwards.

Jayd let go of Chester's hand. "Now you got to lead me to the archery room!" He said, trying to stop his flusterdness from creeping into his voice.

'Alright,' Chester said, deciding not to think too much about what had just happened. He walked to the door.

Jayden followed, practically zooming through the library even though neither of them were in a rush.

'That excited to set my castle on fire, huh?' Chester asked with a smirk.

Jayd nodded so fast you'd think his head would fall off, grinning.

'You're crazy,' Chester stated.

Jayden shrugged. "I've been called worse." He said, grabbing Chester's wrist. "Come on, walk faster!"

'You know you can't actually burn down my castle, right?' Chester asked, a hint of worry in his voice.

"I know." Jayd said sighing overdramatically. "It's a shame."

'Cause if there wasn't a threat of war or a peace treaty involved it'd be fine,' Chester mumbled sarcastically.

"Why do we have to make some treaty anyways?" Jayden said. "Why can't we just agree that we don't want to go to war anytime soon?"

'So that your descendants can't wage war on mine. Have you done any research?'

Jayd sighed. "My brother tried to explain it to me, but I was too busy thinking of my next plan to jump-scare him. Either way though, why can't we just tell our kids: 'Hey guys, no going to war. Wars are dumb.'?"
