"Well obviously a truce is good. Anyone would know that."

'Right,' Chester said, grabbing one of those leather arrow bags that goes around the waist and putting a handful of arrows in it.

"Ooo, fancy." Jayden said, whistling. He twirled the arrows around his fingers before poking himself with it. "Ow!"

Chester smirked. 'Serves you right for wanting to burn my castle down,' he said, being a strong believer in karma. He walked towards the door. 'Come on.'

"Rude." Jayden laughed, following Chester.

They walked down the winding corridors to the back door of the castle, into a clearing with a forest around the edge. Chester grabbed his old-fashioned coat off a hook and pulled it over his shoulders.

Jayd rummaged around his coat pockets before finding an apple and cleaning it off. "Chester, this is a weird suggestion, but could you place this on the top of your head?"

Chester glanced at him, a confused frown on his face. Then his eyes widened slightly. 'Absolutely not.'

"Why not?" Jayden asked innocently. "It wouldn't look stupid, your hair color would actually make the red pop out." He rambled, knowing Chester knew the real reason. "Please?"

'No way,' Chester said. 'I'm not getting shot in the head today.'

"Shot in the head?! That'd be stupid! How could you even think that!" Jayd said before sighing. "I have better aim than that, worst case scenario I'd just miss and hit the tree behind you, promise!"

'Maybe next week,' Chester huffed. 'I'm not taking the chance.' He didn't particularly trust Jayden yet.

Jayden sighed again. "Worth a shot." He said before throwing the apple and shooting it, just barely off center. The arrow clipped it in the side.

Chester raised his eyebrows slightly, trying not to show he was mildly impressed.

Jayden grabbed the apple and yanked the arrow out of it. "Blegh, it's got apple guts all over it." He laughed, looking at Chester. "Trust my archery now?"
