Jayden followed, unable to stop a smile from forming. He was glad that Chester didn't seem to mind his insanity- at least, not TOO much.

The two got to the start of the forest. It was overgrown and unmaintained, by Chester's orders. He liked tidiness and order but it was nice having a place full of nature.

Jayd liked the forest the second he got there. It was so... Wild- duh it was a forest-, unlike what he'd seen so far of the kingdom. He noticed a bird perched on one of the trees. "Can we shoot at random animals, or are there specific ones we need to find?"

'Try to avoid shapeshifters,' Chester said. 'They're my citizens. Other than that you can shoot what you like,so long as you're willing to keep it.'

"How can you tell who's a shapeshifter?" Jayden asked nervously, not wanting to kill anyone. He may have been crazy, but he certainly was not a murderer.

'Often they have interesting markings. A deer shapeshifter may have golden marks on his chest,' Chester said. 'Sometimes they don't, though.'

"Alright." Jayd said, his voice an octave higher. "Just... Tell me if I'm about to murder anyone, ok?"

'Alright,' Chester said with a smirk. He found how worried Jayden was amusing.

Jayd raised his bow at a deer walking by. "Shapeshifter or regular animal?"

Chester glanced at the deer. 'Animal,' he stated. He aimed the arrow at a thin tree branch and it fell. Chester caught the apple that was at the end of the branch.

"Good aim." Jayden approved, shooting at the deer and hitting its antlers, scaring it away. "Dang it."

Chester nodded once at his first remark, then watched the deer flee. 'It was close,' he said, then took a bite from the apple.

"Thanks." Jayd said with a sigh, then turned to look at the apple with a grin. "You sure you can't put it on the top of your head?"

Chester narrowed his eyes at Jayden. 'I'm very sure,' he said.

Jayden rolled his eyes. "Fine, it was worth a shot." He grumbled.
