Chester nodded, burying his face in his chest.

Maeve frowned. "They said that?"
Jayden nodded. He cupped Chester's chin in his hand, pulling it up slowly so he could see how bad the mark his grandfather's hand made on his cheek was. -
Chester let him, reluctantly meeting his gaze. The mark on his cheek was very red and distinct in contrast to his slightly pale skin. His eyes were rimmed with red from crying.

Jayd frowned slightly before replacing it with a soft smile, wiping some of his tears away. He rubbed his thumb on Chester's cheek, the one that got hit. "Does this hurt?" He asked softly.

Chester seemed to calm down a bit. 'It stings a bit,' he mumbled, leaning into his touch.

"Ok." Jayden moved Chester's hair from his face with his other hand. He felt bad for him, he looked like such a wreck, although, he had to admit, he was an incredibly beautiful wreck. "How about your ears? Your grandma pulled on them a lot."

Chester reached up and touched his bunny ears. 'Just a little bit,' he admitted. He liked it when Jayden held him like this, even if he'd just been assaulted by his grandparents.
(afk a bit, i'll hopefully be back within the hour) -
(Uh ok, no promises I'll still be on here though!)
Jayd gave a thoughtful nod. "Ok. Do you want to go back to dinner, stay here, or go to bed?" He knew it was a bit early to go to bed, but they both had a long day. -
'Can we finish dinner?'

Jayden nodded. "Of course." He kissed the top of his head one more time before slowly letting go of him.

(Sounds good, I gtg in like 10-15 ish minutes tho)

Chester smiled softly, holding onto his arm as they both walked back.

Jayden opened the door to the kitchen, and held it open for Chester and Maeve.

Chester walked inside, eyes, on the floor, followed by Maeve.
