Chester smiled back weakly.

Jayd leaned into him before turning to his family again.

Chester kissed the back of his hand.

Jayden blushed slightly. His chef came out with some food.

Chester smiled, looking back down at his pocket watch.

Jayd took his plate and handed another plate to Chester.

Chester looked up and took the plate.

Jayden smiled, taking a bite of his spaghetti.

Chester set his pocket watch on the table and grabbed his fork. Astrid snatched the watch and inspected it. ‘What’s this, ginger?’

"Don't touch his things." Jayd glared at him. "Give it back."
"I don't think I will, brother." -
Chester looked at him, trying to keep composed. ‘It’s a watch.’

"Obviously. I'm not blind, cottontail."

Chester’s grip on Jayden’s hand weakened slightly. ‘Then what else do you need to know? Please give it back.’

Jayden looked at his parents. They both were eating their food, ignoring what was happening. Typical.
"Give it back." He snapped.
"Jesus, so defensive. What's so special about this old thing, anyways?" -
Chester clenched his jaw. ‘That old thing was my great-grandfather’s. My father gave it to me just before he died. Give it back right now.’
