The next entry went like this:
"This morning was just as tedious as they always are. Maeve keeps teleporting and always seems to be so excited, I'm scared something will happen to her. I saw the woman again today, the one from the ball. She requested we meet up for lunch, and it was amazing. We spoke about all sorts of things, and I even showed her my garden." -
Jayden thought about that for a moment. First off, Maeve clearly never changed, which was amusing to him, but he got more curious as to who the girl was with every sentence, even though he wouldn't know her anyways.

"She was fascinated by some of my plants, and didn't seem bored when I rambled about them, though I'm still embarrassed about it. We spent many hours together today, and at late noon she had to leave to tend to her grandfather. I'm looking forward to our next meeting."

Jayd thought about the garden Chester had. It was cool if you were into that stuff he supposed, but Chester wrote like they were some new play down the street you had to see. I mean, who rambles about plants to their crush?

The entry ended there. It was signed off with Chester's signature.

Jayden checked more paged to see if there was anything more, wanting to know more to add to his file in his brain about Chester.

There were many more entries, all to the last page of the journal.

"You don't mind if I dog-ear the pages, do you? So I remember where I'm at?" Jayden asked Chester.

'No. I'll probably never go through it again,' Chester said, not looking up from his desk.

"Alright." Jayden dog-eared the page he was at before shutting the diary and turning his attention towards Chester.

Chester was still reading and writing and signing off on documents.

Jayden sighed. "How long until you're done with that?"

'A while. You can go do something else, if you'd prefer,' Chester pointed out.

"No, I like being around you." Jayd answered, opening the diary again.

'Alright, then,' Chester said.
