'It's fine,' Chester repeated. 'I shouldn't have gotten to worked up.'

"I was a jerk about it though."

'I said it's fine.'

Jayden shrugged. He didn't think it was fine at all- he acted like a brat- but he didn't want to over-apologize so he just kept quiet.

Chester raised an eyebrow, then turned his attention back to his paperwork.

"So... Any journals I can check?"

'I dunno.'

"Well tell me which ones I absolutely positively can't and I'll be sure to read them once I'm alone in here." Jayd joked, grabbing another journal. "This one alright?"

Chester looked at the journal he was holding. 'Yeah. It's just a bunch of work stuff, though.'

Jayden scrunched up his nose. "Anything embarrassing I can read? Like little kid you whining about being a royal?"

'I don't think I'd ever whine about something like that,' Chester said with a slight laugh.

Jayden shrugged with a smile. "Hey, I thought we all had those angsty teen years! You're telling me you never complained about the crown once?"

'No. I think being king was something I always wanted, but the journals you're not allowed to read may say otherwise.'

"Why can't I read them? Are they all as embarrassing as your possible past lover in that journal you totally didn't snap at me for reading?"

'I'd rather you not go through my entire childhood, thanks.'
