Chester followed his gaze. He cupped his hands over Jayden’s. ‘What did… What did he do?’

Jayd frowned. He definitely didn't want to answer that.

Chester glanced at him. ‘Sorry,’ he said quietly. ‘You don’t have to say.’

Jayden leaned into Chester more. "Your turn, love." He murmured, wanting to divert the attention.

Chester wrapped an arm around him, exhaling. ‘Alright.’

Jayd gave a weak smile.
(Gtg now, I'll be back at some point tho, I promise!) -
(Alr!)
Chester waited a moment. ‘Maeve doesn’t like it when I mention mum and dad. I, er… especially dad,’ he mumbled. ‘Or, specifically, what happened when I was 16. It’s not a… welcomed topic.’ -
Jayden raised an eyebrow. "Mind if I ask what happened?" A dumb question, absolutely, but maybe it could help Chester let everything out.

‘Yes. I do mind.’

"Alright." Jayd dropped it.

Chester still refused to look at him. His jaw was clenched and he seemed to find something very interesting about the wall.

Jayden noticed, but didn't say anything, figuring Chester already said what he wanted to.

Chester eventually sighed. ‘I’ve got, um, I’ve got some work to do,’ he mumbled. He stuttered like that either when Jayden was around or he was nervous, and right now it was both.

Jayd nodded. "You want me to leave you alone?" He asked, reluctantly pulling away.

‘You can come.. if you want,’ Chester said, standing up.
