"Holy crud you're fast." Jayd said in a nervous laugh. "Uhm... Hi. I'm Jayden."

The girl held out her hand for the human king to shake. 'My name is Maeve,' she said. 'I've heard terrible things about you, King Jayden.'

Jayden eyed Chester, shaking Maeve's hand left to right instead of up and down. "Good to know."

Chester face palmed his forehead. 'Are you really an arsonist?' Maeve asked, an excited tone in her voice. Like Chester, she had black hair, but hers was very long, and instead had icy blue eyes.

Jayd gave a small nod. "Sort of. I've only lit a library and a courtyard on fire."

'That's so cool!' Maeve said. 'Chester never lets me do things like that!'
'And for good reason,' Chester huffed. 'Go back to your food.' -
Maeve shook her head. Jayden chuckled. "Would you like to light a firework in the halls with me?" He asked, only half joking.

Maeve grinned. 'Yes please!'
(Gtg for dinner) -
(Alr, bye!)
Jayd laughed. "Chester, I think Maeve is my new best friend." -
Chester shrugged. 'Maeve, go back to your food,' he told her. The girl huffed and walked back to the table.

"Are you sure we can't sit by her?" Jayden asked.

'We can if you so wish,' Chester said, walking into the kitchen.

Jayd smiled. "Thanks." He said, following Chester.

Chester opened the double doors. There were two chefs, a fairly short man and a lanky one. The short one was barking orders to the sous chef in Italian. When he saw Chester he stopped shouting.
'Good afternoon, your majesty!' the short man said cheerfully. He had a heavy Italian accent.
'Good morning,' the lanky sous chef said.
'Get back to work!' the short man said, whacking the other man over the head with a ladle. -
Jayden watched the whole thing happen, not saying anything, just looking at the lanky chef with an eyebrow raised. He didn't know if this was normal in Chester's kingdom though, so he didn't mention it.
