Chester held a spoon and blew on his stew. 'Are human servants not as formal?'
-
"Not to me. I don't know if you've noticed, but I'm not exactly your typical king." He pointed out.
-
'That's fair. But do they not at least respect you?' Chester asked, then ate some of his stew.
-
"They do, they just don't call me your majesty unless I have guests. Normally they just call me Jayden or sir if they feel formal enough." Jayd never got offended when his subjects didn't. He knew they respected him- or at least most of them did.
-
Chester nodded skeptically. 'Right' he said, then continued eating.
-
Jayden raised an eyebrow. "Is that just absolutely unbelievable?" He said with a small chuckle, eating as well.
-
'A little,' Chester responded. 'I suppose I just expected your citizens to idolize you because you're in a high position of power. I thought that's what humans do, anyway.'
-
Jayd chuckled, shaking his head. "This is why we don't read books about politics. Hardly anyone worships kings like that unless your talking about spiritual leaders or if they force it."
-
'Oh,' Chester said, thoroughly confused. 'Right.'
-
"You're not understanding any of this, are you?" Jayden said with a small laugh.
-
'Not really,' Chester admitted with a light chuckle.
-
"We'll stick to chaos instead of politics then, because politics is really confusing and boring."
-
'It really isn't,' Chester said. 'I think you'd find it at least a bit interesting.'
-
Jayden shrugged. "Maybe if you help me with chaos I'll learn more about politics."
-
'Are you trying to trick me into pranking the staff?'
