Chester just chuckled. 'Good afternoon, Patton,' he said to the dwarfish chef. 'Are there any leftovers from lunch?'
'Yes, I wondered why you weren't there so I left some in the fridge,' Patton said, adjusting his very tall chef hat. He gestured to the fridge with the ladle he'd previously whacked his assistant with. 'Sandwhiches for King Celeste, and deer stew for your highness. I'll fix it up right away.'
Chester nodded once and left. -
Jayden left as well, looking up at the dining room ceiling. There was a chandelier at the top, and he almost immediately thougt of unscrewing it before shoving the thought back into the back of his mind. It was too destructive and not funny enough and besides, he didn't know how he'd even get up there.
-
Chester sat down opposite his sister, who kept disappearing and reappearing in her seat.
-
"How do you do that?" Jayd asked curiously, looking at Maeve and then Chester. "Can you do that?"
-
Chester shook his head. Maeve stopped disappearing and grinned. 'I can teleport,' she responded, then started disappearing again.
-
"Cool!" Jayden said, thinking of a few pranks he could pull if he could teleport.
-
Chester leaned back in his chair watching his sister, wondering what kind of havoc she was causing.
-
Maeve ginned. "It is." She responded, eating more of her food.
"And to think you didn't want to sit by her." Jayd teased Chester quietly. -
'To think you did,' Chester mumbled back, rolling his eyes.
-
"I heard that!" Maeve said, glaring at Chester, though she had a defiant smile.
-
Chester smirked. 'What do you want me to do about it? Saw your ears off?'
-
"No!" Maeve said with a laugh. "Then how would I talk about arson with Jayden?"
-
Chester shrugged, he had no care for such things. Maeve rolled her eyes and resumed to disappearing and reappearing at random.
-
Jayden chuckled. "No sawing anyone's ears off. Do something more effective, like forcing her to not hang out with friends if she keeps eavesdropping."
-
'I can't restrain a teenager who can teleport without limit,' Chester said with a soft chuckle. 'If I could, I'd be grounding her instead of making her go without dessert for a week.'
