Maeve nodded, giving a small smile. ‘Sounds good.’ Henry, meanwhile, was indeed being a jerk.

Jayden smiled back.
Not only was Henry being a jerk, Chester's grandparents were commenting as well. "What sort of self respecting young women chooses to hang out with him instead of her own family?" Margaret muttered to herself but obviously not only to herself. -
Chester glared. ‘She’s allowed to hang out with him if she wants. Plus, you guys were being jerks

"I'm not allowed to make jokes with my cousins?" Henry rolled his eyes. "You've gotten so sensitive..."

‘There’s a difference between joking and being a b----,’ Chester snapped. ‘You’re being a b----.’

Henry just looked like it was all going in one ear and out the other, smirking.

Chester exhaled sharply. ‘I swear to god’

The older adults were talking about whatever older people talk about, treating it like it was a boys will be boys type situation.

Chester fidgeted with his watch under the table, trying he stay calm. He wished he’d gone with Jayden and Maeve. He’d give anything to be in his boyfriend’s arms right now.

Jayden and Maeve got into a marketplace. "Alright, you choose what we're eating."

Maeve looked around. ‘Can we have cinnamon rolls for dinner?’

Jayd nodded, grinning. "Yeah."

Maeve gave a small smile. ‘Can we have those then?’

Jayden nodded again. "Yeah, lets go."

Maeve nodded.
