'I just think he needs a distraction from his work. Or a rebound to make him stop feeling (she blew a raspberry),' she said.

Jayden raised an eyebrow. "A rebound?" He said with a chuckle, ruffling her hair like an annoying cousin.

'Rebound relationship, you dummy.'

"His last one ended pretty bad, didn't it." Jayd said out loud. "For him to need a rebound."

'Oh yeah, it was horrible,' Maeve agreed. 'Hey, wait!'

Jayden rolled his eyes. "Suppose he did like me back- then what? We get together for a month and then focus on our kingdoms?"

'You've forgotten you're a king! You can do whatever you want, can't you?'

Jayd gave a shrug. "Except for if my Board of Directors found out they could claim I'm not fit to be a king."

'That don't let them find out!'

"And how do you suppose I do that? Write letters to him using code?"

'They go through your letters?!'

"I don't know, they might!" Jayd responded with a shrug. "I've never checked! God, I hope not."

'Still. I think you should tell him.'

Jayden rolled his eyes. "Fine, I'll tell him tonight. Maybe."
