Chester looked at him in concern. ‘Are you sure?’ he asked quietly, resting his hand on his other cheek so he wouldn’t hurt him. -
Jayden nodded slightly. "Yeah. I'm fine." He leaned into Chester.

Chester held him close. ‘C’mon, let’s go back to our room. We can snuggle and maybe Oliver has more of that chocolate.’

"Ok." Jayd mumbled, holding him tightly. He felt bad for being so clingy.

Chester let him. He walked back to Jayden's room and laid his boyfriend down, pulling the blankets over his shoulder then settling next to him.

Jayden snuggled into him, sighing softly. "I'm sorry." He mumbled.

Chester frowned. He wrapped his arms around Jayden, pulling him close. 'Sorry for what?'

"For getting you into this mess and for being so damn clingy."

'Love, I got myself into this mess, so I don't mind at all. And you're not clingy, you just really like cuddles,' Chester said softly, kissing Jayden's nose.

Jayd smiled, leaning into his touch. "Chester?" He asked after a moment.

'Yes, my love?' Chester asked, giving a small smile.

"Why... Why did you sneak into the board room?" He asked quietly.

Chester paused. He took a moment before answering. 'Because,' he said quietly. 'I didn't want you to have to deal with Caden again. I wanted to know if something bad was going to happen, or if he was going to threaten you again... You looked so sad when you had to take land from me, and Caden yelled at you because you told me about what he said... I didn't want you to have to go through that again. If he was going to threaten you again, I'd know and you wouldn't get in trouble for telling me.'

Jayden sighed, mostly of relief, and leaned into Chester more. "You're much too thoughtful." He murmured.

Chester gave a weak smile, kissing the top of Jayden's head. 'What did you think I was in there for?' he asked quietly.
