Theo, meanwhile, had his attention on Hazel. He was smiling.

Hazel glanced at him. ‘You’re staring.’

"Am I?" He asked with a carefree smile.

‘Yes.’

Theo looked away, giving a small whistle.

‘What?’

"Nooothing." Theo said innocently.

‘What are you thinking about?’

"Nothing." Theo said quickly.

‘Mhmmm,’ Hazel hummed sarcastically. ‘Definitely.’

"Honest!" Theo said. In reality he was thinking about how pretty she was. He also briefly thought about asking her out.... But he had no idea where anything was, and she did.

‘Nobody believes that, Theodore,’ Hazel said, smirking. ‘Tell me or I’ll light your jacket on fire.’

"You wouldn't dare, Hazel-nut." Theo chuckled.

‘Ugh, fine. I’ll pinch you again.’
The kids started moving into pairs to light a piece of magnesium with the Bunsen burner.
‘You’re with me, Theodore.’ -
"Oh no, I'm so scared, my poor jacket." Theo said in a flat voice. "You better not pinch me."
