Theo nodded, grabbing the tong he was offered. "You'd think they'd give us sunglasses along with safety glasses if it's so bright." He chuckled.
-
Hazel grinned. ‘Yeah.’
‘If you look at it directly, your eyes might be permanently damaged,’ the teacher warned. -
"Jesus." Theo muttered. He wasn't a fan of potentially ruining his eyes.
-
‘That’s probably why,’ Hazel said, chuckling.
-
Theo nodded. A couple kids put the magnesium up to the Bunsen burner already, so he did too.
-
Hazel quickly averted her eyes. The Bunsen burner was on a blue flame. It took a moment but the magnesium lit up. ‘Take it off the flame, now,’ Hazel urged.
-
"Alright, alright." Theo took it out. "That good?"
-
Hazel nodded. After a few moments the light stopped, and she looked back. ‘You look like a hot scientist.’
-
Theo chuckled. "Must be a side affect of the magnesium." He looked at her, thinking she looked absolutely amazing as well.
-
Hazel grinned. ‘Must be.’ The magnesium had been reduced to white powder, in a small power on the prac mat. Hazel wanted to touch it.
-
Theo looked down at he white powder that was the magnesium. "Thanks for making me look like a hot scientist." He said to it as a joke.
-
Hazel chuckled.
-
Theo looked up at Hazel with a grin.
-
‘What?’
-
"Nothing." He smiled.
