‘I won’t until you’re holding the match. C’mon,’ Hazel said, walking over to an empty bench.
-
"Oi!" Theo followed her. "So rude!"
-
Hazel smirked. She grabbed the necessary equipment, two safety glasses, a Bunsen burner, prac mat and box of matches. ‘You wanna go first, Theodore?’
-
"If you burn my jacket I swear to god..." Theo muttered, chuckling. "Yes, I'm going first. I don't trust you."
-
‘Ugh, fine. Do you know how to light it?’
-
"Yeah." Theo lit it, making sure his jacket wouldn't get burned at all.
-
Hazel put her safety glasses on.
-
Theo put his on as well. He never enjoyed how much bulkier they seemed compared to blue light glasses.
-
Hazel was imagining how cute he’d look in actual glasses. Then she realised her hands were way too close to the flame and she quickly pulled back.
-
"I thought the plan was to burn me, not you." He chuckled.
-
‘Shut up, Theodore.’
-
"Make me, Hazel-nut." Theo dared before turning back to the Bunsen burner.
-
‘Not here! The teacher’ll notice, dummy.’
-
Theo rolled his eyes. "I know, I know. Don't worry, I'll remind you later."
-
Hazel blushed. The teacher gave each pair a piece of magnesium and some tongs. ‘We’re going to light this magnesium,’ he said. ‘It’s going to make a very bright light. Don’t look at it directly.’
