Theo heard it all, but it just went in one ear and out the other.

The teacher was saying something about lighting magnesium. You weren’t supposed to look at it and something or other.

Theo looked over to Hazel, smiling. He was thinking of how beautiful and amazing she was.

Hazel noticed after a bit. She glanced at him and smiled.

Theo blushed slightly, winking.

Hazel blushed slightly. She looked back at the teacher, smiling shyly.

Theo looked away again, staring at the clock even though they'd just gotten in the class.

Hazel grabbed his hand under the desk.

Theo looked at her with a smile, blushing. He intertwined their fingers.

Hazel smiled, looking down at their hands.

Theo saw her looking down and did as well.

Hazel grinned.

Theo smiled, squeezing her hand.
