Collins stared at the machine. 'The extractor,' she muttered.

"I knew it, you did see Florence!" The man shouted, throwing Collins at the machine. A glaring could be felt from the shadows

'I don't know where he is now!' Collins exclaimed as metal closed around her wrists. 'Wha-'

Blue flashed past and the man was nowhere to be seen from Collins' perspective. Florence had the man by the hands.

Collins looked around. 'Where-' she stuttered, confused and a little scared.

"There you are, ugly beast." The assistant researcher spat at Florence. Florence growled

Collins tried to yank her wrists out of the extraction machine. It hadn't been turned on, luckily, but she was still stuck.

"you shouldn't have lied to me girl, it could've gotten you out of the extractor." The man said laughing. Florence set one of his sets of hands on the assistant researcher's throat

Collins ignored him, still trying to escape. The metal grew tighter around her wrists, making her yelp in pain.

"Florence, you shouldn't leave your friend in the extractor. Who knows when it could power on." The man said laughing. Florence tightened his hand around the assistant researcher's throat

Collins just prayed it wouldn't power on. She hated needles, and if Florence was in pain when it was used on him Collins couldn't imagine the state she'd be in.

Florence was at a loss for what to do. The assistant researcher was bad, it knew he'd do something if he had the chance but it also wanted to help Collins and it didn't want to hurt the assistant researcher.

Collins heard a machine humming close to her. In hummed in her ear and grew louder. 'What..?' she muttered. 'Oh no.'

The assistant researcher laughed. Florence screamed with double the vocal chords of normal screams

Collins desperately tried to pull away her wrists. She didn't know what the machine would do to her, and she really did not want to find out.
