Heart shaped box

Collins kneeled next to him. 'You can,' she said, putting down her torch.
-
Florence's lungs filled completely with air then emptied. He dug his many fingernails into his legs to ground himself. Eventually his breathing calmed down and he sat peacefully.
-
Collins sighed in relief and sat down, crossing her legs. 'Now, what got you so worked up?'
-
"the assistant researcher is here... and I dropped the heart." Florence said. He mimicked the sound of a bear
-
'Oh,' Collins muttered. The assistant researcher seemed terrible to her. Collins remembered how angry Florence had been when he didn't have the heart the day before, when she'd touched it.
-
Florence shook his head and roared again. He needed to find the heart before the assistant researcher entered the building.
-
'I'll help you look for it,' Collins offered, figuring it was best if they found the music box soon.
-
"thank you." Florence said. He extended his wings and flew to the bottom of the stairs to search. It could've fallen for all he knew
-
Collins stood and looked around on the floor she was already on. Maybe Florence had dropped it when he was on the walls.
-
Florence overturned stones frantically hoping to find the heart. It wasn't showing up.
-
Collins looked in every nook and cranny she could find, but found nothing.
-
Florence flew back up to the window to check if it had fallen from his hands, but there was no luck there either.
-
Collins only found dust and rubble. She sneezed.
-
Florence heard the sneeze and flew over, without explanation he stuck his hand on Collins' forehead.
-
'What?' Collins said, wiping some dust off her arms, a little startled. 'Everything OK?'
