Collins laughed, looking down at him.
-
Florence stood up on his 2 legs and started trying to play a song by mimicking a guitar, this is when a zookeeper rounded the corner for the animals usual check ins. "Wh-WHAT IS THAT THING!" the man screamed. In front of him was Florence. A beast with ghastly grey skin, four spindly arms, goat-like legs, and wings bigger than those of the harpy eagle.
-
Collins froze. She whipped around to face the zookeeper. She looked from the zookeeper to Florence, then back to the stranger, slowly backing away. ‘Florence, we need to get out of here,’ she said in a hushed voice, looking around for an escape route.
-
"I thought no one else was here." Florence remarked as he leaned back down on his arms. "MISS, RUN THIS WAY! MY GOD IT'S A JERSEY DEVIL!" The man screamed. He took something out of his cart and threw it over Florence's head.
-
‘I didn’t think anyone would be taking care of the animals!’ Collins said. She ignored the man, and probably would’ve found his remarks funny if it was in a different context. ‘Florence, I’m serious, we have to leave.’
-
"animals require a lot of care. We could fly away?" Florence suggested. The zookeeper was shouting all sorts of things as he attempted to distract Florence away from Collins. As the man saw it she was a teenager being attacked by a huge scary beast.
-
Collins nodded. 'Let's do that, then. Before he takes any pictures,' she said, looking cautiously at the zookeeper.
-
Florence held his hands out to Collins. He had to pick her up in some way for them to fly together.
-
Collins took his hands, ignoring the screams from the zookeeper.
-
Florence picked up Collins with all four of his arms and flew away from the zoo. He flew high above the fence and did a small circle over the flamingos.
-
Collins clung onto him like her life depended on it, which honestly, it did. She shut her eyes tight, trying not to get too scared of the height.
-
Florence made sure to hold onto Collins before diving down to a fairly close clearing in the woods. He figured he shouldn't land on a public street
-
Collins made a squeaking sound as Florence dived, clinging to him tighter.
-
Florence landed and let go of Collins. "That was fun other than that guy." Florence said
-
‘It was,’ Collins said, opening her eyes once she was back on land. ‘Ugh, I’m sorry he showed up.’
