Max raised his eyebrows, not buying it, but didn’t say anything about it. “My mom gets strict over that stuff to.”

"99" Abby muttered. She knew she usually came top in the class in science but she didn't like sharing that information. Some people could be REALLY horrible to nerds or "teacher's pets"

Maxs eyebrows raised. “Woah, that’s super cool! Are you some kinda superhuman or something?”

"No, and I'm not a geek like you either, I'm terrible at everything else, you'll see" she muttered glaring at Max.

Max looked at the floor, embarrassed. “Sorry… it’s still pretty cool.”

Abby looked taken aback, she'd just assumed Max was making fun of her. "Thanks" she muttered.

news flash: I’m not as bratty as you’d like to believe. A tiny part of Maxs mind whispered, but he pushed the remark away. -
"I've got maths next" she groaned. "You guys?"

“Math.” Max grumbled. “The worst class in the whole school.”

"oh me too," Sierra laughs. "what a coincidence that all three of us are having classes together." "don't worry, i love math. mainly because i'm good at it but also because i have a very kind math teacher. she gives us cookies."

“You’re good at math?” Max asked. “Can you tutor me sometime? Please?”

"define sometime," she laughs. "because i could tutor you right now for..." she looks at up at the clock hanging above the door. "17.2 seconds." "but then you wouldn't learn anything, would you?" she gathers her books and stares intently at the clock, waiting for the bell to ring, announcing that class is over.

“Fair enough. Maybe after school or something?” Max asked as the bell rang. He shoved his stuff into his backpack and stood up.

"uhm," she glances at Abby, thinking if she will even have time. "ok." "meet in the art room after the last bell?"
