Callum hurried after Eli, before falling into step next to them.

Eli kept walking until they both finally got to the cafeteria.
“There. I hope you packed food from home, because the food here tastes like crap.” They said. -
'Can't be that bad,' Callum said.

“You say that now, but trust me, it most certainly CAN get that bad.” Eli chuckled slightly. “Anyways, I should probably get going- unless you wanna sit with me.” They proposed.

'Is that an invitation?' Callum asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Depends, would you say yes?” Eli asked.

'I would.'

“Then I suppose it is.” Eli said, grinning.

'In that case, I would like to sit with you,' Callum said with a smile.

“Well then….. you gonna get your crappy school food?” Eli asked, fiddling with their hands.

'I may as well,' he replied. 'Could you find us a spot while I wait in line?'

Eli nodded, walking over to an empty table, sitting down and waving towards Callum so he knew where they were sitting.

Callum nodded at Eli and waited in line, turning away from them. He smiled to himself as he waited, sticking his hands in his pockets.

Eli grabbed their lunch pour of their backpack, and pulled out a sandwich, taking a bite out of it.

Once he'd gotten his food, he walked over to Eli and sat opposite them. 'So,' he said, setting his tray on the table.
