Eli walked out of the classroom, and was almost immediately shoved into the wall.
“What d’you want James?” They asked quietly, their voice barely above a whisper. -
Callum glanced behind him, noticing the person pinned to the wall by a tough-looking boy. They kept a safe distance away though watched, deciding to first check if it was worth intervening.

“Just wanted to get it through to you that you’re a freak.” James said, grinning.
“I get it, can you just let me go?” Eli asked, trying to get out of James’s grip. -
Callum stepped forward, noticing the bully hadn't yet released him grip on them.

Eli noticed that the same guy that sat by them in class was watching, and they raised an eyebrow. Figures that the new kid was watching them get bullied. Just fan-freaking tastic.

Callum noticed James roll his shoulder, then move his arm up as if he were planning to punch the person on the stomach. He - Callum - took another step forward and shoved the bully off them, it wasn't a very good shove but one that made him stumble.

Eli ran off from James, giving the new guy a look that meant ‘thank you!’

'Oi!' James shouted, but Callum had ran off too, a few metres behind the other person.

“Thank you.” Eli finally said. “I guess this mean I owe you now, huh?”

'Perhaps,' he said with a shrug.

“Hey, we never actually met I guess.” Eli realized. “Names Eli.”

'Callum,' he responded. 'Nice to meet you, Eli.'

“Same, but to you.” Eli said, smiling.

Callum smiled. 'I know how you can owe me. Showing me to the cafeteria, cos I have no idea where that is.'

Eli nodded. “Follow me.” He said, walking towards the cafeteria.
