'Sci-fi, fantasy, everything, really,' Miles shrugged. 'I don't have that much of an interest in non-fiction, but then again, who does?'
-
"I agree, non fiction books are for book reports." Amber laughed. "My favorites always been paranormal."
-
'Oh? Do you have any books you could recommend?'
-
"Crash is a good book. It's about visions of how someone will die and the MC has to save them." Amber recommends.
(It's an actual book, it's REALLY good.) -
(Cool!)
'That sounds cool,' Miles stood up and grabbed one of the many pieces of paper scattered on his desk and a pen, before writing "Crash" in very messy handwriting. -
"I'm guessing you have a long reading list?" She says, noticing the many papers.
-
'That and other stuff,' Miles said, clicking the pen and returning the paper to his desk. 'Receipts, shopping lists, profiles and terrible sketches,' he said with a slight laugh, putting the pen behind his ear.
-
"Ah." Amber said. "So where were you before you moved here?" She asks.
-
'London,' Miles replied, sitting back down. 'With my dad. But I couldn't stay with him anymore, and mum had just moved here, so I had to move in with her.'
-
"awesome!" She said, "have you read Percy Jackson?" She asks, just to fill the silence.
-
'Yup. I've got the whole series in one of these boxes...' he said, gesturing to his room, with was still cluttered with cardboard boxes as he hadn't bothered to unpack most of it.
-
"Oooh!" Amber says, glad they share an interest. "Who do you think your godly parent would be, if you were in the stories? I would be a daughter of Apollo." She adds.
-
'Not sure. Maybe Athena, but I've never really thought about it.'
-
(Sorry for not responding a lot, i've been having to deal with a lot of problems irl and i've lost motivation for a lot of stuff)
"hmm... I see it." Amber looks at him thoughtfully. "So how was your day today? Was it your first day at school?" -
(I don't mind. I hope those problems aren't too hard on you, and whatever it is gets better.)
'It was,' Miles huffed. 'The facilities are gross. Though I suppose you can't expect much else, it's a public school.'
