"You did, but I overslept. Thanks!" Miles answered, then started pulling on his shoes.

"Ah, good. Amber to the rescue! Haha."

"Haha, yes! Super Amber has saved town yet again."

The night before had really made her question her feelings for Miles. "Hey... Do you want to hang out after school? My mom might let you come over." She was hoping she could discuss it with him a bit later.

Miles grinned. He did want to see her, and responded "Of course!"

"Yay. Well i've got to go, my mom's waiting for me in the car. Talk to you later!"

"See you at evening."

She texted Miles when she got home. "Come on over whenever!" -
Miles was walking home from school, after stopping at a servo for snacks. "I'll be right there!"

"Alrighty!"

Miles quickened pace, until he was at Amber's house. He rang the doorbell and waited for an answer.

Amber jumped at the sound of the doorbell, getting up from the couch to go answer it. "Hi." She said when she saw Miles.

'Hey,' Miles said. 'How was school?'

"Good. Skylar was out sick. Probably out skipping instead." Amber laughed. She saw Lauren (good twin) wink at her from the top of the stairs and run off, probably to distract her twin.
