Nikolai noticed Nat again and tried to wave again, hoping she'd notice this time.

Nat glanced up when she grew bored of staring at a blank page, and saw Nikolai.
She knew they were going to the same school, but didn't expect to see him in the same class as her. She raised her hand in a small wave with a smile. -
Nikolai smiled back. 'I missed you!' He mouthed while the teachers back was turned.

Nat smiled. 'I missed you too,' she mouthed back.

Nikolai's smile widened. 'How are you?' He signed, wondering if he'd get in trouble since he wasn't technically saying anything.

Natsuki gave a thumbs-up.

Nikolai gave a double thumbs up to try and say: 'That's good!'

Nat grinned, happy to be seeing Nik again. The teacher began talking to the class, starting the lesson.

Nik jotted some notes on a separate piece of paper, trying to make sense of the oodles of dates the teacher was talking about.

After the class, Nat packed up everything and slung her bag over her shoulder.

Nikolai shoved his notes into the history part of his binder before walking over to Nat.

Nat looked up at him. 'Hello,' she said happily. Her voice was quiet and sometimes grew croaky as she hadn't used it for so long.

"You're talking more!" Nik pointed out with a grin.

Nat nodded will a smile.

"That's awesome! Does that mean the therapy's working?" Nikolai asked, saying the second sentence more quietly in case Nat felt insecure about people knowing that kinda stuff.
