She is remarkably quiet as they bicker, this time too in her head to think to try and diffuse the now tense situation.

He waits another short moment before prompting the hero.
"Ember? I haven't heard anything from you yet." -
"I think maybe I don't want to play this game anymore. How about something less divisive, like I Spy?"

"Oh, boooooo." he jeers playfully, but comes to a stop and turns to face the group with that same happy-go-lucky smile.
"Well, that works out fine. We're at the edge." -
He has also come to a stop, still standing beneath a canopy of low-hanging branches.
"This is the end of this forest. Are we ready to go our separate ways then?" -
"Wait.. what? Just like that?"

He raises an eyebrow incredulously.
"You walk in one direction, eventually you find the end of the woods. That's how that works." -
"Didn't this seem a little too easy? We still don't know why we're all here, or even where "here" is. I.." she thought carefully about what she wanted to say before she said it. "I don't think I'll feel right leaving you guys behind until I've seen you safely returned home."
She crossed her arms and looked around, suddenly suspicious. -
"Yeah.." she agreed, also looking around like they might be ambushed at any time. "I think that's a good idea."

"Luckily that shouldn't be too hard. We can drop Cecilia off in Achte and then all of us can head back to Phoenix together!"

He misses a beat, exchanging a strange look with his brother.

"That would be great!" he picks up immediately where his brother left off.
