Today it looks like an expansive forest.

"I roll perception."

He snickers.
"Be honest, you learned that joke from Nate, didn't you?" -
"I-" he pauses, smiling faintly down at his feet. "I did. It's kind of a fun game."

"I'm not judging." he says, smiling brightly. "I used to like that game too, but none of my friends play it anymore."

"You can play with Nathaniel and I." he offers. "In the meantime, I really want to know how to get out of these woods."

She is sitting on a tree branch nearby, wondering how to make an entrance without causing too much alarm. She wasn't sure what she had in common with these people, but it must mean something that they're here with her, she knows it.
She coughs quietly to herself, breaking a short silence between the two others. -

His eyes find the woman pretty easily, settling on her before seeming to widen ever so slightly. His face lights up when he registers the newcomer,
"Hey! You know what's up with these woods?" he calls out, waving to her excitedly. -
Deciding these two aren't a threat comes far too easily to the small woman, who drops to the ground below the branch she had been sitting on.
"Hi! Uh, no, I was hoping you would! But that's okay, I'll keep you safe and get you out of here, I promise!" -

She's here. Nearby. Hiding behind a tree and listening intently to everything unfolding. She's careful to keep downwind of these strangers, at least until she can get a good read on all of them.

He smiles even wider, showing off pretty white teeth.
"That's so nice of you! Are you, like, a cop or something?" -
"A- a cop? Uh, no, ha ha! I'm a Superhero! You can call me Ember!"

He leans in a little closer to Sehei.
"Superhero?" he murmurs close to his ear, keeping his eyes glued to the girl.
