she looks at Ace, giving him the death stare. slowly, she brings a finger up to her lips, shushing him. she turns back to the tree and draws a skull and looks back at him, smiling.

Ace puts his hands up in surrender, still grinning like an imp. He quickly flies back down to see what his rabbit, Clover was up to. Olive shifts her sleeping position, putting her arms around Karentina's waist, "Soft..." she mumbles incoherently.

she looks at Olive, eyes widening, blushing. she reaches over and brushes hair from Olive's forehead.

Suddenly, all was quiet. Too quiet. If you were to look down, on the ground, Ace, Damian, And Jasper were climbing onto each other, fear in their eyes (well, except for Ace) because there was a whole big mama bear right in front of them.

she looks down and sees the bear, and lifts Olive off her lap and sets her on the branch, making sure she would be out of reach of the bear. silently, she swings off of the tree, and lands in front of the bear. she closes her eyes and concentrates, trying to communicate to the bear to leave the nice people alone.

Ace, Damian, and Jasper were trying to make themselves look bigger, to intimidate the bear so it can be scared off and leave.

she concentrates harder, and the bear looks at her, looking confused. "it's okay, mama. the big bad men aren't going to hurt you." she reaches up and strokes the bear's snout.

Jasper chuckles, "Heh, yeah, she gets it-"
Damian shakes his head, "She means Ace, Jas."
Jasper huffs, "How would you know? Can you read minds?"
"No, but I know it wouldn't be you because you are the least intimidating out of all of us." Damian replies, in a monotone voice. -
She couldn't help it. She giggles, sending the bear into a panic and it bound out of the clearing. "Whoops. Well, she's gone. How did she even get here?" She asks, raising an eyebrow and the boys.

Jasper pats Damian's shoulder, "Now this, for once, is actually this cinnamon roll's fault. For some reason, he was imitating bear mating calls to prove a point to Ace, of which I do not know."

she looks at them, a little confused and VERY concerned. "well, okay then-" she says, "well how about y'all NOT attract any more dangerous animals, kay?" she turns and climbs back into the tree in one swift movement. she looks down at them, watching closely.

They were silent but then bursts into laughter. "DAMIAN. We almost just DIED because of you! Never again, you hear me?!" Ace says, wiping away a tear of comedy. "You betcha, pal. Won't happen ever again!" Damian makes the equivalent of a Mickey Mouse voice, which made them all laugh even HARDER.

she groans and turns to the tree, where there isn't much room left to carve anything. instead, she calls down a little woodpecker to her finger and pets it softly. "oh, you're so adorable, aren't you? yes you are!" she says to it.

"Yes, I am..." Olive mumbled softly, then shifts her position again, but forgetting she's in a tree, she was very close to the point of falling headfirst into the ground if not for the fact that her foot was hooked onto a strong branch.
