"It's a plastic tarp, Ethel, it doesn't have claws," Jaime rolled his eyes. "If it makes you more comfortable you can go change into some pants."
-
“It should be quite all right, I have long stockings under my dress.” Ethel informed him, looking down at her black stockings. “How about you go first to show me how it’s done?”
-
"It's really simple, you'll learn as you do it," Jaime said. He then spun the spinner. "Left foot blue," he said. He then proceeded to put his left foot on the big blue dot. "Now you do the same," he said.
-
“All right then.” Ethel proceeded to put her left foot on a different blue dot. “Like that, right?”
-
"Yep," Jaime said. He spun the spinner again. "Left hand green." Blue was the second column of dots, but green was the fourth!
-
Ethel hummed in acknowledgement and placed her left hand on green. Her face flushed pink at the embarrassing position she was in. Why, it was as if she were a limping dog!
-
Jaime smiled. "Now things are going to start to get tricky," he said. He flicked his finger and read the spinner. "Right hand red." To do this you would either need to shift around and then cross your right hand over your left hand or you'd have to cross your arm under your body to get to the red dot.
-
Ethel groaned when she realized the predicament she was in.
"I'm supposing if I fall I'll lose?" She hissed, glaring daggers at the blasted spinner. -
"Yep," Jaime grinned as he moved his hand.
-
Surprisingly, Ethel was able to put herself in the correct position without falling over.
“What happens if we lose?” She asked, breathless from the workout this was giving her. She was a dramatic girl. -
"Well then I win," Jaime said as he spun the spinner. "Unless you want to add some stakes to the game. Left foot red
-
“A risk?” The light from the lamp seemed to reflect off of Ethel’s glasses. She slammed her foot on red, craning her head to look at Jaime. “What kind of risk?”
-
"Something like that," Jaime said. Really it was more like a bet, but he had a feeling Ethel didn't bet. "If I win...you can't back out of anything I tell you to do for a day."
-
Ethel felt a cold shiver run down her spine at the mere thought of having to obey his every whim for the next 24 hours.
“And if I win?” She asked, taking extra care to gently bite her lip. It would be absolutely horrendous if she went out in public with a bleeding lip! -
"If you win then I do the same for you," he replied. "Unless you can think of a more wild idea."
