"I think we need to know each other a little longer for us to be best friends," Tessa said tenderly.

"Actualllllllly, I looked through your files from my dads office. I know you very well!” Verona giggled.

"Verona, that's not a nice thing to do," Tessa scolded.

"Eh, he doesn't care anyway. It doesn't matter if we sneak into his office or break his glasses. He'll just buy new ones!" Verona said proudly.

"Is your dad usually grumpy?" Tessa asked.

"No. He's actually a very nice man. He just doesn't have enough time to spend with us.” Verona sighed.

"Well maybe he'd have just a little more time if you didn't break his glasses," Tessa reasoned. "Then he'll be able to get his work done quicker.

“He has spares,” Verona muttered. “He's bombarded with work anyways. It isn't likely for him to spend time with me and my brother.”

"I haven't met your brother yet," Tessa said.

"You should meet him right now!” Verona said. "Just approach him with caution. He's like a bear that was poked and never recovered from the anger.”

"Where is he?" she asked.

"In his room. I can take you there if ya like?" Verona offered.

"Yes please," Tessa said.
