Erati hesitated before starting to swim up, still keeping his distance as he surfaced

Doris sat down trying to look a little closer. She said "Go on, have some. If you don't like it, I'll see if I can't get something else."

He eyed the feed again before abruptly twisting in the water, using his tail to splash the feed out of the tank and onto her

Doris yelped as she was splashed with water and feed. As she wringed out her hair and started getting the feed off her, she said "Rude. If you didn't like it, you could've just said so."

Erati giggled softly at the sight of her being soaked, a s--- eating grin on the young mers face

Doris said "Oh, you think this is funny, huh? Okay, Mr. Smarty-Tail, I'll just continue feeding you this stuff out of spite."

He frowned at her, trying to figure out if she was serious or not

Doris then sighed and said "No, that's too extreme. Look, I want to help you, but I can't if you don't tell me what you eat. I need to know."

Erati hesitated, appearing uncertain before he started moving closer. Once he was close enough for her to hear him he spoke, his voice soft and quiet "I mostly eat fish"

Doris smiled when she finally heard him speak. She then asked "Is there a specific type that you like?"

He paused and then shook his head, not knowing the names for the fish in english

Doris said "Alright. I'll see what I can get. I'll have to tell this to Ms. Esma so we can get you some proper food. Is there anything else you want to tell me?"

Erati seemed a little distressed at that before he asked "when can I go home?

Doris said "I'm afraid I can't ell you. You must stay here for now. Hopefully you'll get to go home someday. I must go." and she walked down from the tank and to the door.

Erati made a distressed noise, seeming very upset at that before he dived back down to the bottom of the tank
